3 Tips to Motivate You to Get Out of Bed Early

We all know how difficult it is to get up early in the morning. It can be even more difficult if the reason you’re waking up earlier than usual is to exercise. Live a healthier life by taking note of the following tips:

Place your alarm far from where you sleep
If you have your alarm beside your bed within easy reach, the temptation will be to stretch out and either switch it off or hit the snooze button. By placing it on the other side of the room, you will have to get out of bed to turn it off. Once you are out of bed, it’s easy to stay up and get going with your day. When choosing an alarm clock, select one that will wake you up effectively but not put you into a bad mood. Some people prefer a traditional sounding alarm; others prefer a favorite radio station coming on. Whatever the option, choose one that you won’t find so irritating that you are annoyed by it every morning! Source: LifeHack

Find friends with the same goal
If you don’t have an exercise buddy yet, chances are you will make one after a few weeks of sticking to a morning workout routine at your gym. You’ll become familiar with the regulars who also exercise there that time of day. “It does inspire you to get up and move because you know they’re there and will wonder where you are if you miss a day or two,” Burron says. “It’s a social factor that can help motivate you in the morning.” Source: HuffingtonPost

Prepare an hour before bed
Any kind of light can shift circadian rhythms, making it harder to sleep at night. And if you’re constantly plugged in, you’re even less likely to hit the hay right away. Research has shown that the blue light emitted by electronics like laptops and cell phones disturbs sleep even more than natural light. Turn off those electronic screens at least an hour before bed to make dozing easier. Source: DailyBurn
